Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It’s mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with gifts as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We will be distributing boxes and labels at church. Along with your box you will receive a list of recommended items and prohibited items.
-
Yes! Family Church has a webpage on the Operation Christmas Child website. The cost to build an online shoebox is $25 which covers the contents of your shoebox (which you are able to choose yourself), processing, shipping, and transportation to the receiving country and village. Shoeboxes built online go to hard to reach, culturally sensitive areas so this is a great way to spread the good news "to the ends of the earth".
-
The easiest way to pay for shipping is online at Samaritan Purse Website under the "activate labels" box. This allows you to track the country your box goes to! Another option is to pack cash or check (made out to Samaritan's Purse) inside your shoebox on top of the items. The shipping payment will be collected at the distribution center.
-
Please plan to bring your packed box back to Family Church on November 13. We will be bringing boxes to our collection site after church on that day. Please don’t bring prior to November 13th because we do not have a place to store them.
-
If you would like to wrap your gift, be sure to wrap the box and lid separately so that it can be easily opened without ruining the wrapping. Boxes should not be taped shut, they should be secured with a rubber band. This way gifts can be processed more efficiently at the processing centers.
